VRT Praha - Ústí nad Labem - Dresden (RS 4)

HSL Will Contribute to the Development of North Bohemia
The line is not only important from an international perspective, it could also contribute significantly to the economic development of North Bohemia. Passengers between Prague and Ústí nad Labem will spend less than 30 minutes on the train, which will open doors to new job and study opportunities for the residents. The addition of the main branch-off to Most will significantly improve transport service not only in the western part of the Ústí nad Labem Region, but also in the Karlovy Vary Region. We will soon start preparing a separate feasibility study for this section.
High-Speed Railway Stations in Roudnice nad Labem and Ústí nad Labem
Two HSL stations are planned on the High-Speed Line from Prague to Dresden, which will play a key role in connections between long-distance and regional trains as well as between other means of public and individual transport. The Roudnice nad Labem VRT station will significantly increase the availability of fast transport for the residents of the surrounding towns and villages. The station Ústí nad Labem centrum should be built on the site of the existing railway station Ústí nad Labem západ.
Passangers Will Travel at Speeds of up to 320 km/h
VRT Praha/Prague – Ústí nad Labem – Drážďany is to consist of technically and operationally different parts. The section between Prague and Lovosice/Litoměřice exit will be used exclusively for passenger transport and passengers will be able to ride express trains with a speed of up to 320 km/h. The remaining sections will be used by passenger and freight trains. The route will also include two tunnels: the maximum speed of 250 km/h is planned in the Středohorský (Central Uplands) tunnel and 230 km/h in the Krušnohorský (Ore Mountains) tunnel.
