VRT Poohří

VRT Poohří (HSL Eger Flatlands) is designed as a branch High-Speed Line on the way Praha/Prague – Ústí nad Labem – Drážďany/Dresden. The possibility of using it for mixed operation of freight and passenger trains is being considered.

This High-Speed Lline will also enable connection of the existing line 092 Neratovice – Kralupy nad Vltavou with the line 140 Chomutov – Cheb. VRT Poohří (HSL Eger Flatlands) starts at the exit from line 092 near the village of Úžice in Central Bohemia and continues along the main direction Praha/Prague – Ústí nad Labem – Dresden, crosses the Vltava River and then turns east towards Most.

On VRT Poohří a branch to Louny has been proposed, with the whole section ending at the connection to the station in Most.
